look at these twoooooooo i just. can't. They're relationship is the most adorable thing. Kaoru has no biological siblings, and so to have Tsuru, to have friends that are so close, they're like family... it just means so much to him. ;A; it makes him feel... less alone. He's still come to believe that he must be strong enough to stand on his own, for fear of taking those he cares about down with him when he falls... but then there's this part of him that's still innocent and desperate for hope that maaaaybe he won't have to be so afraid, and maybe it's okay to need people.

of course, this walks a tightrope. and who's to say from which side he'll fall...
